Description
This is an incredibly delicious, extremely healthy, quick-to-fix dish that we have quite often at home. Most all the ingredients are kept on hand and this beautiful salad takes well to substitutions. This particular salad contains chicken, whole hard-boiled quail eggs (quartered hard-boiled chicken eggs are good too, whichever is handy!), romaine lettuce, red onion, chopped garlic, corn, bell pepper, red Hawaiian sea salt, and fresh ground black pepper; everything except the chicken and eggs are tossed with buttermilk ranch salad dressing. The jalapeno-strawberry sauce is made by combining jalapeno jelly with strawberry jam, and ratio is determined by how spicy you like your food. A teaspoonful dolloped onto each egg and a sprinkling of Charnushka seeds (or toasted sesame seeds) on the chicken makes a gourmet presentation.
