Description
Max Ehrmann wrote Desiderata in 1927. He was a poet and a lawyer in Terre Haute, Indiana and died in 1945. Desiderata means “things that are desired.” Ehrmann stated that he wrote Desiderata for himself “Because it counsels those virtues I felt most in need of.”
Desiderata became quite popular during the 1960s and 1970s and then sales leveled off for many years. This generations parents and grandparents have helped renew interest in this inspirational piece by purchasing copies as gifts for family members and friends.
My rendition of Desiderata takes its quality to a new level by adding bright colors to accent the uplifting, inspirational message.
