Description
This cross stands over 200 feet high. It is on top of a hill towering over the nearby trees and shrubs. The church complex is at the bottom of the hill to the left and encompasses an entire strip mall on Lee Highway in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The flag in the lower right corner is a large flag flying proudly on the church level. There is no separation of church and state here, "one nation under God" as I learned in school (back when the Pledge of Allegiance was allowed to be recited in public schools). photograph copyright Renee Trenholm
