Description
The beautiful crabapple flowers of spring brought this little guy out of winter hibernation. He is an old little guy standing proud at 16 inches tall, probably manufactured in Germany around the 1940s. His arms and legs are scaled to dwarfism. His clothes are all original and made of felt and cotton. You can tell he has lived a hard life by his slightly sunburned features and scuff marks. His head, arms, and legs appear to be celluloid and his body appears to be some type of pressed cardboard with handwritten 6/1653 & C & 14 on his belly. His head is strung with elastic and his limbs are attached with poseable wires. He is truly a rare find as not many dolls were ever designed and scaled as dwarfs. photograph copyright Renee Trenholm
