These were extremely sweet and delicious fuyu persimmons! My grandmother loved persimmons and ate of them heartily every year. As a child I wouldn't touch them but now I carry on the tradition she started. Since persimmons are too tart to eat until they ripen, which coincides with our first north Atlanta frost, I thought it was fitting to add a "frosty" texture for added effect.
