Mighty Mini Tomatoes grow on what is reported to be the world's smallest tomato plant. The fruits are small and medium, however, they are not the smallest tomatoes in the world. The Red Currant Tomatoes are pea sized whereas the Mighty Mini Tomatoes range from about 1/4 inch to one inch.
These were grown in a standard AeroGarden tabletop hydroponics system. Even though they were grown indoors in protected conditions, they are prone to scarring as can be seen in the photo. These plants also produce well when grown in pots outdoors like patio tomatoes.
Once the plants got established, buds started en mass. From three plants, we got hundreds of little tomatoes for our salads during only one growing season. These fruits are supposed to be sweet, but some are too tart and some rather flavorless. They are a fun novelty with healthy benefits.
