This image is of a 1949 Plymouth Schooner Hood Ornament on a 1949 Plymouth automobile. I was taking pictures of it in a parking lot when the owner appeared. He was very nice and let me continue my work. He is in the process of restoring this vintage car. It is a beauty but I was really mesmerized by the hood ornament. I had not seen a fancy one such as this. The schooner is silver but I caught the sun's reflection in the sails which gives the schooner and its reflection a look of gold. It was early evening when I was taking pictures and was able to frame the hood in front of a black car that was parked nearby to keep the focus on my subject.
